From accepted quote to project plan with Alfie: confirm before applying

Turn an accepted construction quote into a proposed project setup, review scope and dates, and apply it only after explicit confirmation.

Acceptance does not define every delivery detail

An accepted quote gives a construction company a strong starting point: customer, scope, quantities, prices and assumptions. It may not contain the crew, exact dates, task sequence, site contacts or document checklist needed for delivery. Creating a project automatically without review can turn commercial assumptions into operational commitments.

Alfie's current registry separates linking an offer to a project from applying a project setup based on that offer. apply_project_setup_from_offer is a medium-risk action and requires confirmation on WhatsApp. The model can interpret the request, while Enfin supplies the authorised quote, organisation context and action boundary.

Build a proposal from the accepted version

Start with the exact accepted quote, not the newest draft with a similar number. Show the customer, site, accepted date, total and version. Carry over agreed scope and line information. Place optional or excluded items in a separate view so they do not become tasks by accident.

Propose a project name, stages, budget structure and initial items. Mark dates, crew and sequencing as unresolved when the quote does not support them. Ask targeted questions instead of inventing a start date or assigning the available team by default.

Review operational consequences

Before confirmation, compare the proposal with current capacity, procurement lead times and contractual milestones. Check whether deposits, permits, insurance evidence or client choices are prerequisites. A project can be created while some items remain open, but those gaps need owners and deadlines.

The user confirms the displayed setup. If the quote or proposed structure changes, generate a new confirmation request. Record who applied it and link the resulting project back to the accepted document. A failed action should leave the offer intact and report the reason.

Keep later changes as project decisions

Once applied, the project has its own planning and cost history. Later scope changes should be handled as controlled variations rather than edits to the old accepted quote. Keep the commercial baseline available for margin and delivery comparisons.
